The Socially Useful Gang
A provincial gangster named Vorkuta lived by the motto, “We’re not like this — life made us this way.” But in 1999, the wild ’90s came to an end, and he was sentenced to prison. There, he lost the ability to sleep, and after a couple of weeks of insomnia, he saw his conscience in the form of a man, who told him that as long as he remained a bad person, he would never sleep again. In 2024, Vorkuta is released from prison, and he must make amends to those whose lives he ruined. He turns to his former accomplices for help: one lives with his mother and works on a garbage truck, while the other has found refuge in a local church. The Socially Useful Gang enthusiastically embarks on the path to redemption and begins helping the townspeople.
